VIII Московский международный фестиваль БИЕННАЛЕ ПОЭТОВ. Пресс-релиз.
С 12 по 16 ноября 2013 года в Москве пройдет VIII международный фестиваль «Биеннале поэтов».
Этот широкомасштабный просветительский проект, ставший частью российского и международного культурного процесса, проводится с 1999 года под патронатом Правительства Москвы, при поддержке Департамента культуры города Москвы, посольств и культурных центров зарубежных стран. С 2001 года Московский фестиваль является членом Ассоциации международных поэтических фестивалей.
Автор идеи и Президент Биеннале – поэт, лауреат премии Москвы в области литературы и искусства Евгений Бунимович.
Основная задача Биеннале – расширение профессионального общения и творческих встреч с читателями поэтов разных стран, что, несомненно, способствует взаимообогащению культур разных народов, а также популяризации духовной культуры, частью которой всегда была и остается поэзия.
За время своего существования Московский поэтический фестиваль стал знаковым культурным явлением. Москва, как отмечает пресса, в период проведения «Биеннале поэтов» становится поэтической столицей мира.
Гостями «Биеннале поэтов» в Москве разных лет были крупнейшие международные и российские фестивали. Выступали поэты из Бельгии, Германии, Испании, Израиля, Канады, Китая, Австралии, Новой Зеландии, США, Мексики, Франции, Белоруссии, Грузии, Латвии, Литвы, Узбекистана, Украины, а также из всех регионов России.
Организатором фестиваля является Проект «Культурная Инициатива».
В 2013 году Биеннале пройдет с подзаголовком «Северный поток» и будет посвящен поэзии стран Балтийского региона, имеющих богатейшие литературные традиции. Очевидная отсылка к названию самого крупного проекта европейской энергобезопасности неслучайна. Мы хотим показать, что в наше время людей могут объединять не только нефть и газ, олицетворяющие политический и экономический интерес, но, в первую очередь, преодолевающая языковые и культурные барьеры энергия живого поэтического слова.
В программе форума – поэтические чтения, вечера, презентации, мультимедийные и саунд-проекты, дискуссии и круглые столы, затрагивающие общие для европейской поэзии проблемы и тенденции, в которых примут участие авторы из Финляндии, Швеции, Норвегии, Дании, Германии, Польши, Литвы, Беларуси, Латвии, Эстонии, России и других стран.
Поэтические акции, не вместившиеся в международную неделю, пройдут в рамках специальных программ «Гости съезжались» и «Гости разъезжались».
Торжественная церемония открытия фестиваля пройдет 12 ноября 2013 года. На открытии Биеннале будет вручена литературная премия «Живая легенда».
На следующий день после открытия, 13 ноября, В Государственном литературном музее «Северный поток» наберет полную мощь, зазвучав разноязыкими стихами всех участников фестиваля, которые также пообщаются с журналистами и дадут автографы читателям.
Среди наиболее интересных мероприятий Биеннале: вечер, посвященный десятилетию калининградского фестиваля Слоwwwо, традиционный фестиваль голосового стиха, мастер-класс по переводу со скандинавских языков, чтения open-air у памятников великим русским поэтам. Частью фестиваля давно стала программа «Поэты в школе»: зарубежные и российские участники приходят в школьные классы, читают стихи, говорят с детьми о поэзии, отвечают на вопросы о своем ремесле. Такие встречи проходят и в стенах московских вузов.
Как всегда, в Биеннале примут участие известные современные русские поэты: Сергей Стратановский, Михаил Айзенберг, Дмитрий Веденяпин, Евгений Рейн, Елена Фанайлова и др.
На закрытии Биеннале, которое состоится 16 ноября в клубе «Дача на Покровке», будет вручена литературно-критическая премия «Московский наблюдатель». Программа фестиваля будет доступна на сайте www.kultinfo.ru/poetrybiennale/ c 8 ноября 2013 года.

VIII International Poetry Biennale will be held in Moscow from 12 to 16 November 2013.
This large-scale cultural project was launched in 1999 under the auspices of the Moscow government and with support of the Moscow Department of Culture, foreign embassies, and international culture centres. It has since become a prominent part of cultural life both inside Russia and internationally. Since 2001 the Moscow Biennale has been a member of the International Poetry Festival Association.
The idea of the Moscow Biennale was conceived by the poet Evgeny Bunimovich, who is its current president and is a winner of the Moscow Prize in Literature and Art.
The Biennale’s main goal is to strengthen professional ties among poets and to introduce readers to poetic traditions from different countries, thus facilitating mutually enriching cultural exchange and promoting poetry.
Since its inception, the Moscow Poetry Biennale has grown into an iconic cultural event. As recognized by the media, Moscow becomes the poetry capital of the world for the duration of the Biennale.
Over the years the Moscow Biennale has included some of the largest Russian and international poetry festivals, featuring poets from Australia, Belgium, Germany, Spain, Israel, Canada, China, New Zealand, the United States, Mexico, France, Belorus, Georgia, Latvia, Lithuania, Uzbekistan, Ukraine, and from nearly every region of Russia.
The Biennale’s organizer is the Cultural Initiative project.
This year’s Biennale is called Nord Stream and focuses especially on the rich poetic traditions of the Baltic states. The decision to use the name of the ambitious European project on energy security is not coincidental. The Biennale’s mission is to demonstrate that people in today's world can be united not only by oil, gas, and other political and economic interests, but also, and more importantly, by the power of the living poetic word, capable of overcoming all linguistic and cultural barriers.
The Biennale will include poetry readings, talks, and multimedia and sound projects, as well as discussions and round tables at which authors from Russia, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Denmark, Germany, Poland, Lithuania, Belarus, Estonia, and other countries, will discuss some of the common problems and trends of contemporary European poetry.
Additional events will be held on the several days before and after the Biennale’s main week of events as part of the ‘Guests Arriving’ and the ‘Guests Departing’ series.
The Opening Ceremony will be held on 12 November 2013 and will include the announcement of the winner of the Living Legend Literary Prize.
The Nord Stream Biennale will gain full momentum on 13 November at the State Literary Museum, where authors from different countries will recite their poetry, meet with reporters, and sign books.
The rich programme of this year’s Biennale will include such diverse events as a poetry reading celebrating the 10th anniversary of the Kaliningrad festival ‘Slovvvo’; a voice poetry festival; a Scandinavian poetry translation workshop; and open-air readings in front of classic Russian poets’ monuments. A notable part of the Biennale has been the ‘Poets in School’ project, which brings foreign and Russian participants to Moscow schools, colleges, and universities, and creates opportunities for poets and students to engage with one another through reciting and discussing poetry.
As always, this year’s Biennale will feature many well-known contemporary Russian poets, including Sergey Stratanovsky, Mikhail Aizenberg, Vsevolod Emelin, Dmitry Vedenyapin, Evgeny Rein, and Elena Fanailova.
The Biennale’s Closing Ceremony, which will take place on 16 November at the club ‘Dacha at Pokrovka’, will include the Moscow Observer literary criticism award ceremony.
